Terms & Conditions

1. The short version

Studio edits business videos from footage you send us. You pay per video, one revision round is included, and we don't accept content that's inappropriate, unsafe, or that you don't have the right to use. If anything below is unclear, email us and we'll sort it out.

2. Who we are

"Studio," "we," and "us" refer to the service operated by Elijah Finlay. "You" means the person or business using the service. By creating an account or submitting a project, you agree to these terms.

3. What we do

We edit footage you upload into a finished business video based on the plan we agree on. Turnaround is typically 48–72 hours after your clips are received, though complex projects can take longer. Each project includes one round of revisions. Additional revisions may incur additional fees, which we'll quote before starting.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are listed on our pricing page and shown at checkout. You pay per video; there is no subscription. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Projects begin after payment is received. Launch pricing and promotional rates are offered at our discretion and may change without notice for future projects.

5. Refunds

If we haven't started work on your project, we'll refund you in full on request. Once editing has begun, refunds are offered at our discretion based on how much work has been completed. We don't refund completed videos that meet the agreed plan.

6. Content we will not edit

We reserve the right to decline any project for any reason. We will not accept, edit, or deliver footage that contains:

  • Nudity, partial nudity, sexual content, or anything sexually suggestive.
  • People who are not appropriately dressed for a business context. Anyone appearing on camera must be dressed professionally or at minimum in modest, non-revealing clothing. This applies to everyone in the frame, including staff, clients, and background people.
  • Violence, gore, weapons used threateningly, or content depicting real harm to people or animals.
  • Hate speech, harassment, slurs, or content targeting a person or group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
  • Illegal activity, drug use, or content that promotes or glorifies illegal activity.
  • Minors in any context that could reasonably be considered inappropriate, exploitative, or unsafe.
  • Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, likeness, or privacy rights, including footage, music, logos, or branding you don't own or have permission to use.
  • Defamatory, misleading, or deceptive content, including false claims about products, services, or competitors.
  • Political attack ads, extremist content, or content intended to harass a specific person or business.
  • Anything else we judge, in our sole discretion, to be harmful, offensive, or inconsistent with our brand.

If we decline a project after receiving your footage, we'll refund any payment for work not yet performed and delete the footage from our systems.

7. Your responsibilities

By submitting footage, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to all footage, audio, music, logos, and other materials you upload.
  • Every identifiable person in your footage has consented to being filmed and to the footage being used for commercial or promotional purposes.
  • If minors appear in your footage, you have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • You've secured any location releases, model releases, or property releases required.
  • Your footage complies with all applicable laws, including privacy, recording, and advertising laws in your jurisdiction.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from footage you submit that violates these terms or anyone's rights.

8. Ownership and licensing

You own your raw footage and the final edited video we deliver to you. We retain ownership of the editing techniques, templates, project files, and processes used to create it. You grant us a limited license to use finished videos as portfolio samples and for marketing Studio, unless you ask us in writing not to. We will never use unfinished or behind-the-scenes footage publicly.

9. Revisions and delivery

Revisions must be requested within 14 days of initial delivery. Revision requests must be specific and actionable. Changes that go beyond the originally agreed scope (new footage, new edit direction, etc.) may be treated as a new project and quoted separately. Once a video is approved or 30 days pass without revision requests, the project is considered complete and closed.

10. Storage

We store your raw footage and project files for up to 60 days after delivery, after which they may be deleted from our systems. If you need long-term storage, please keep your own backup.

11. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

12. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the project giving rise to the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business opportunities.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
